In honor of his initial rejection of rock and roll following an engine fire on a flight to Sydney, Australia 55 years ago this week, we will pay tribute to Little Richard on this week’s edition of “The Grooveyard”. The Top Ten @ 10 will feature the music of October 11, 1959, and updates on the Grooveyard Greats polls will be offered.
And don’t forget to vote for your favorite songs in the “Grooveyard Greats” surveys. Voting for the best songs of 1955 and earlier will close in Thursday, while the survey for your favorites from 1962 will continue all week. A new poll, for the best of 1962, will begin on Thursday.
