This Week: American, Pi

Scott Perschke fills in for Alan Seltzer on this week’s edition of “The Grooveyard” Thursday night at 9 PM on WCWP-FM.  Rumor has it that Alan is returning from meetings at an undisclosed location in Rome, although Scott suggested he’s blowing smoke.  We’re not sure if it’s white or black smoke.  In either case, Scott will share the “Top Ten @ 10” for March 14, 1960 plus other hits by American artists of the Grooveyard era.

Alan returns to “The Grooveyard” next Thursday with a Flashback special focusing on the music of 1961.

Before “The Grooveyard”, join Supersub Bobby G on “The Rock Show” starting at 7 PM.  In honor of “Pi Day”–that’s 3/14 for the less mathematically inclined–Bobby will be playing songs with flangers or phasing.  Bobby strongly suggests wearing headphones for the optimal experience.  Not being as sophisticated, we simply suggest listening with the mute button off.

“The Grooveyard” and “The Rock Show” can both be heard on 88.1 FM on Long Island, the 88.1 FM link on wcwp.org or the TuneIn app on your SmartPhone.  You can also follow us on Twitter @GrooveyardWCWP.
