This Week: Flashback 1960

Nixon Kennedy

It was the year of the first televised Presidential debate…when Elvis was discharged from the Army…when the fight against segregation took place at a lunch counter at Woolworth’s …and Mary Martin performed “Peter Pan” live on television for the first time.

This Thursday at 9 PM, Alan Seltzer will focus on the music and events of 1960 in another Flashback special show on “The Grooveyard”..  We’ll play all the songs that made it to number one in order, plus clips from some of the major events of the year and as many other hits from the year as possible.

Hosted by Alan Seltzer, “The Grooveyard” can be heard on 88.1 FM on Long Island, the 88.1 FM link on wcwp.org or the TuneIn app on your SmartPhone.  Feel free to send song requests, comments and suggestions via Twitter or the form below.
