Thursday night at 9 PM, we’ll feature music by Bill Haley and His Comets on “The Grooveyard”. The tribute will be on the 59thanniversary of Decca records announcing that the group sold three million records in the past year. The accomplishment was primarily due to hits like “Rock Around the Clock” and “Shake Rattle and Roll”. The Top Ten @ 10 will feature the hits of June 26, 1960.
Voting winds up this week for our annual Summer Song Survey. You can vote for up to 10 of your favorite summer songs each day until the poll closes Thursday at 11 PM. Included can be songs about the season, or favorites you remember from radios on the beach or picnics or your favorite vacation. The only rule is the songs must be from 1963 or earlier. Go here to vote, and join us as we count down the results next week on a special pre-holiday edition of “The Grooveyard”.
