Video of the Week: July 7, 2014

This week in 1956, Dick Clark took over hosting duties of a local dance show on WFIL in Philadelphia, which was then called “Bandstand”, after original host Bob Horn was arrested for DUI.  The show, which would go national on ABC the following year, precipitating a name change to “American Bandstand”, would run for 37 years.

We’ll celebrate American Bandstand and the artists that performed there Thursday night on . . .
