In honor of Jay Black’s upcoming appearance on July 24 at Tilles Center at LIU Post, here’s the original version of “Cara Mia” by David Whitfield along with the Mantovani Orchestra. This version reached the #1 position on the UK singles chart for 10 weeks in 1954. The Jay and the Americans version reached #4 on the American charts in 1965.
