Author Chris Ingram joins Alan Seltzer on “The Rock Show” Friday night at 7 PM to discuss his new historical novel, Hey Kemosabe! The Days (and Nights) of a Radio Idyll. The novel wraps itself around some real events that took place in and around MusicRadio 77, the popular radio station of the 1960s and 1970s. Chris has a unique perspective on the events as the son of one of the station’s top personalities–and lead characters in the book–Dan Ingram.
Meanwhile, supersub bobby G fills in for Alan on “The Grooveyard” Thursday night at 9 PM. He’ll celebrate the 60th anniversary of Elvis Presley’s first official concert appearance by playing some early rare recordings. The Top Ten @ 10 will feature the hits of July 24, 1958.
Both “The Grooveyard” and “The Rock Show” can be heard on 88.1 FM on Long Island, the 88.1 FM link on wcwp.org or the TuneIn app on your SmartPhone.
