A live in-studio performance by Joe D’Urso will be featured when Grooveyard host Alan Seltzer fills in on “The Rock Show” Friday night at 7 PM.
The leader of Joe D’Urso and Stone Caravan, Joe has been performing since the early 1990s. He has been critically acclaimed for being a passionate songwriter and an earnest performer with a deep love for making music. The band independently released their debut album, Rock-Land, in 1993, with nine other recordings following since then. As an artist, D’Urso embraced his indy status. In the process, he created a flourishing fan base with each CD and tou, and his catalog of music has been released on his own label, SCR/Schoolhouse Records. His music and merchandise are available via retail stores, internet sites and his website: jdcaravan.com. Joe is also actively involved with WhyHunger and Artists Against Hunger and Poverty.
Thursday night at 9 PM on “The Grooveyard”, super-sub Bobby G will play R&B songs covered by white singers. The Top Ten @ 10 will feature the top hits of August 21, 1960.
Both “The Grooveyard” and “The Rock Show” can be heard on 88.1 FM on Long Island, the 88.1 FM link on wcwp.org or the TuneIn app on your SmartPhone.
