Top Ten @ 10: Have A Love-ing Christmas!

Since we offered our traditional holiday show this week, there was no Top Ten @ 10.  The weekly survey will return, both on the show and on the website, on January 8, 2015, following our holiday recess.  Check out our special schedule for the next few weeks here, and don’t forget to join us for our five-hour Grooveyard Great 88 countdown show at a special day and time–Friday, December 26 at 7 PM.  Our pre-survey show begins at 6 PM.

While those traditions continue–and grow–this week marks the end of an annual special holiday event.  Tomorrow night will be Darlene Love’s final appearance singing “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)” on Late Night with David Letterman.  She announced a few weeks ago that she will retire the annual appearance with Letterman’s departure from the show in a few months, and was honored with our Video of the Week at that time.

This week, Late Night shared this mash-up of some of her greatest appearances over the last 28 years.

And here’s her very first appearance, in 1986 while Letterman was still on NBC.

We hope you enjoy our 12 Days of Greats, and join us for our special Friday night edition of “The Grooveyard” Friday, December 26 at 7 PM.

Happy Holidays from. . .
