A look at the Kinks and a National Weatherman Day tribute highlight the week on “The Grooveyard” and the “Saturday Soiree”.
On “The Grooveyard” Thursday night at 9 PM, host Alan Seltzer will play a six-pack of weather-related songs on National Weatherman Day. The Top Ten @ 10 will feature the top songs of February 5, 1960.
Two nights later at 7 PM, “Saturday Soiree” host will examine the music of The Kinks, one of the most influential rock bands of the 1960s. The songs that were at the top of the charts on February 7. 1968 will be featured on the Soiree Survey.
Also, voting continues through Saturday at 10 PM on the Soiree’s first-ever Love Song Survey. Pick your 10 favorite love songs from 1964-1967, plus another 10 from 1968 through the early 1970s. Full details and links to the two surveys are posted here.
