This Week: Sly Stone and Playing Chess


Sly and the Family Stone and a tribute to Chess Records co-founder Leonard Chess  highlight “The Grooveyard” and the “Saturday Soiree” this week.

Thursday night at 9 PM on “The Grooveyard”, host Alan Seltzer features songs by artists who recorded on the Chess record label on what would have been Leonard Chess’ 98th birthday.  The evening’s Top Ten @ 10 will feature the hits of March 12, 1959.
