A look back to Johnny Carson and a celebration of Memorial Day weekend are on tap for “The Grooveyard” and “Saturday Soiree” this week.
A day following the departure of one late night television icon, host Alan Seltzer celebrates the 23rd anniversary of the last show of his mentor, Johnny Carson on “The Grooveyard” Thursday night at 9 PM. The Top Ten @ 10 offers the top hits of May 21, 1956.
Two major aspects of Memorial Day Weekend will be the focus of this weekend’s edition of the “Saturday Soiree”. Songs for the first unofficial weekend of summer and music about war and peace will be featured on the show, beginning at 7 PM. The Soiree Survey features the charted songs from May 23, 1968.
Both “The Grooveyard” and the “Saturday Soiree” can be heard on 88.1 FM on Long Island, the 88.1 FM link on wcwp.org or the TuneIn app on your SmartPhone. (You can also click the logo on the left.) Join us on. . .
