This Week: The Day the Music Died

Winter Dance Party Poster

Saturday night at 7 PM on “The Grooveyard”, we’ll look back at the artists who died in the plane crash in Clear Lake, Iowa on February 3, 1959, frequently called “The Day the Music Died”.  Alan Seltzer will feature the music of Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and the Big Bopper.  Buddy’s music will also be featured in our “Under the Covers” segment along with some unusual versions of his songs.  In addiiton, the Grooveyard Top Ten will feature the hits of February 6, 1960 and play many of your favorites during the Grooveyard Party Hour starting at 9 PM.

Love Songs SurveyVoting has closed for our Love Song Survey.  We’ll count down the top songs on next week’s pre-Valentines Day show.  Meanwhile, you can dedicate a love song on our Requests and Dedications pageWCWP logo new
