We celebrate the anniversary of Elvis Presley’s first concerts in Las Vegas when Bobby G fills in for Alan Seltzer Saturday night on “The Grooveyard”.
Elvis was booked for a two week engagement at the New Frontier Hotel beginning April 23, 1956. Elvis was billed as “The Atomic Powered Singer”, an homage to Nevada being the home to atomic power testing. This week’s Grooveyard Top Ten features the hits of April 23, 1960.
Listen to “The Grooveyard” each Saturday night at 7 PM on 88.1 FM on Long Island or by clicking the 88.1 FM link on wcwp.org or via the TuneIn app. You can also follow us on Twitter.
