We’ll celebrate the lives of John Zacherle and Bobby Vee Saturday night at 7 PM on “The Grooveyard.”
Host Alan Seltzer will play both hits and forgotten favorites by both the Cool Ghoul and the teen idol. Vee died Monday after a long bout with Alzhiemers Disease. Zacherle passed away on Friday.
In addition, we’ll feature many Halloween favorites and update the voting on our annual Great 88 survey. The Grooveyard Top Ten will feature the hits of October 29, 1959.
Voting continues in our fifth annual Grooveyard Great 88 listener survey. The survey for your 10 favorite songs from 1962 closes Saturday at 10 PM. You can also pick your 10 favorites from 1957 here, and the poll for the best songs from 1959 opened this weekend. A full first round schedule and addtional information can be found here.
Listen to “The Grooveyard” each Saturday night at 7 PM on 88.1 FM on Long Island or by clicking the 88.1 FM link on wcwp.org or via the TuneIn app. You can also follow us on Twitter.
