You’ll hear a Wall of Sound Saturday night on “The Grooveyard”.
Host Alan Seltzer will celebrate the anniversary of the release of “A Christmas Gift for You fro Phil Spector” by sharing an hour of songs from the iconic producer. The album’s release on November 22, 1963 was eclipsed in history by another newsworthy event the same day, but has had a major effect on music history. We’ll play songs produced–and sung–by Spector during the tribute.
In addition, the Grooveyard Top 10 will feature the hits of November 19, 1960. We’ll also play more of your favorites and celebrate some November birthdays during the Grooveyard Party hour and update the voting for our Grooveyard Great 88 polls.
First round voting ends Saturday in our fifth annual Grooveyard Great 88 listener survey. You can pick your 10 favorite songs from 1961 closes Saturday at 10 PM. A full first round schedule and addtional information can be found here.
Voting in the final round will begin by Thanksgiving Day.
