“The Grooveyard” has the ingredients to help you get ready for Easter and Passover this weekend.
No, we’re not offering food or recipes. However, host Alan Seltzer will feature food songs Saturday night beginning at 7 PM. We’ll include an Under the Covers segment to give you extra servings of some of your favorite hits. The Grooveyard Top Ten offers the biggest hits of April 8, 1959. There’s also time for your requests and dedications during our Grooveyard Party Hour.
In addition, tickets to the Rock and Roll Spectacular at Holy Cross High School in Flushing will be given to lucky listeners. The April 22 show will featureRon Dante (of the Archies and Cufflinks), Charlie Thomas’ Drifters (“Under the Boardwalk”), Emil Stucchio and the Classics (“Till Then”), 1910 Fruitgum Company (“Simon Says”) and Barbara Harris and the Toys (“Lover’s Concerto”) The show benefits the Father’s Club at Holy Cross High School.
