This Weekend: Flashback 1958

It was the year when Elvis Presley was inducted into the Army.  It was also the year when unemployment reached 20 percent in Detroit to a recession, when the Dodgers and Giants played the first regular-season baseball game as West Coast teams, and when a young musician named Leonard Bernstein began a series of televised “Young People Concerts” that would continue for 14 years.

This Saturday at 7 PM, Alan Seltzer will play the top hits of 1958 in another Flashback special show on “The Grooveyard”.  We’ll count down the Top 50 songs of the year and share as many other hits that charted in 1958 as possible.
