1963 – The Results

The survey for the best songs of 1963 always brings a wide range of answers.  This year’s survey is no different, with 71 different songs getting attention, a slight decrease from last year’s record 78 songs.  Two songs–by the Ronettes and Kingsmen–were repeats in the top five.

Here’s the top five songs from 1955 and earlier alphabetically by artist:

“Donna the Prima Donna” by Dion

“Louis Louis” by The Kingsmen

“Today I Met the Boy I’m Gonna Marry” by Darlene Love

“You Really Got a Hold on Me” by The Miracles

“Be My Baby” by The Ronettes
