“The Grooveyard” will celebrate the life and music of Antoine Dominique “Fats” Domino Jr. Saturday night. Host Alan Seltzer will offer a full hour of his hits. He pianist, composer and singer died Tuesday at age 89.
Along with favorites by Fats, we’ll feature cover versions of some of his most popular songs. In addition, the Grooveyard Top Ten will feature the most popular songs of October 28, 1958, we’ll play your requests and Halloween hits during the Grooveyard Party Hour and update the voting for our Grooveyard Great 88 polls.
Voting continues in our sixth annual Grooveyard Great 88 listener survey. Following a one-week extension due to the last-minute repeat show last Saturday, the poll for the best songs from 1960 closes Saturday at 10 PM, the normal end of Saturday’s show. You can also choose your 10 favorite songs from 1956 and 1961, and the survey for the best of 1958 just opened. You can also find the results of earlier surveys in the Great 88 section.
