“The Grooveyard” celebrates African American Music History Month this Saturday by featuring artists on Berry Gordy’s iconic Motown record label.
We’ll share both the pioneering artists of Hitsville U.S.A. plus the music that evolved into the iconic label. Included will be a six-pack of hits by the Queen of Motown, Mary Wells. Our Grooveyard Top Ten will feature the hits of June 15, 1959, and we’ll play your requests during the Grooveyard Party Hour.
Voting closes Saturday in our annual “Summer Song Survey”. . You can pick 10 songs of the season, or favorites you remember from a barbeque, pool party, trip to the beach or other summer memories. Vote and find more details here.
