1960 – The Results

The first round survey for your favorites of 1960 is traditionally known for it’s tight races, and this year is no exception.  A total of 69 different songs received support, six more than the 2017 poll. While there were no songs repeating last year from the previous survey in the Top Five, the 2018 survey featured three repeats.  Fats Domino, The Safaris and Maurice Williams and the Zodiacs all returned to the top of the survey.

Here are your Top Five songs of 1960 in alphabetical order by artist:

“Walking to New Orleans” by Fats Domino

“True Love Ways” by Buddy Holly

“Image of a Girl” by The Safaris

“Stay” by Maurice Williams and the Zodiacs

“A Thousand Stars” by Kathy Young and the Innocents
