Join host Alan Seltzer on “The Grooveyard” Saturday night at 7 PM when we feature artists celebrating birthdays this month. We’ll feature a six-pack of hits by Chuck Berry, who was born on October 18th, 1926. The birthday celebration will continue during the “Under the Covers” feature, when we focus on hits by Ellie Greenwich.
In addition, the Grooveyard Top 10 will feature the hits of October 26, 1960. We’ll also play more of your favorites plus some Halloween hits during the Grooveyard Party hour and update the voting for our Grooveyard Great 88 polls.
Meanwhile, voting continues in the eighth annual Great 88 surveys. The survey for the 10 best songs of 1957 closes on Saturday at 10 PM. You can also pick your 10 favorite songs from 1955 and 1960 here daily. A full first round schedule and additional information can be found here. You can also find the results of earlier surveys in the Great 88 section.
Be sure to follow The Grooveyard’s website so you know in advance about abbreviated or pre-emted shows due to LIU sports coverage. Along with the announcements, followers will receive a full Top Ten in their e-mail when we play a Top Five during half hour shows. Just give us your name and e-mail here.
