Best of: Flashback 1960

It was the year of the first televised presidential debate…when Elvis was discharged from the Army…when the fight against segregation took place at a lunch counter at Woolworth’s …and Mary Martin performed “Peter Pan” live on television for the first time.

Saturday night at 7 PM, join Alan Seltzer for a repeat broadcast the top hits of 1960 in a Flashback special show on “The Grooveyard”.  We’ll count down the Top 50 songs of the year and share as many other hits that charted in 1960 as possible.

The technical glitches preventing a new prerecorded edition of “The Grooveyard” are close to being resolved.  While telephone requests are not possible, listeners can post requests online by the Monday prior to the show.  You can also send an email to alan@wcwpgrooveyard.com.

Listen to “The Grooveyard” following “Rick’s Redneck Ranch” each Saturday night at 7 PM on 88.1 FM on Long Island or by clicking the 88.1 FM link on wcwp.org, via the TuneIn app. or the  WCWP app on your iPhone or Android device.  You can also follow us on Twitter.
