Retro Dee’s Guide to the Best Era Ever is 3!

Retro Dee writes about music, fashion and other trends of the 1950s on this site.  Check out her blog, Retro Dee’s Guide to the Best Era Ever here, and her column here every Wednesday.

Hello everyone! It’s Retro Dee and I’m happy to announce that on September 21st, 2020, Retro Dee’s Guide to the Best Era Ever turned 3 years old!

I can’t believe it’s been 3 whole years since I started this blog in 2017. It’s been a lot of fun and blah blah blah… I won’t bore you with a long speech. I do want to thank each and every one of you who has taken the time to read my posts. I hope I can continue to do my part in keeping the Best Era Ever alive!

I also want to thank Alan Seltzer, host of WCWP’s The Grooveyard, for allowing me to be an on-going contributor to the blog for best Oldies show on the radio. Also remember to Vote Now in the Great 88 which happens to be the best music survey on the radio.

I try not to change my blogging format too much since I’m very traditional and I want to keep a consistent theme. But, of course, this being the internet, frequent change is impossible to avoid. The biggest changes I tend to make are with the categories as I try to keep the home page as easy to navigate as possible.

Oh yeah and “stay tuned” for more Fifties Study Hall pages this fall. I’m making the topics easier to navigate by making more posts that are shorter, rather than fewer, longer ones. For example, instead of listing all the TV shows from the 50’s all on one post, I’ll be dividing them into genres such as Variety Shows, Sitcoms, etc.

So! Have a great week, folks and again thanks for reading. I truly appreciate your interest and hope you find something useful, or at least entertaining, on this blog.
