We’ll celebrate Operating Room Nurse Day Saturday on “The Grooveyard”when host Alan Seltzer pays tribute to all the essential woman by featuring music by female artists and groups.
Started in 1989, the holiday honors those important nurses, who care for patients before, during and immediately after surgery. Included in the tribute will be a six-pack of songs written by Ellie Greenwich, one of the essential women in the history of rock music. The Grooveyard Top Ten will feature the top songs of November 14, 1958 and we’ll play more of your favorites during the Grooveyard Party hour .
Meanwhile, first-round voting closes Saturday in the ninth annual Great 88 survey. You can for your favorites from 1963 until 10 PM Saturday. Results from the first round can be found here. The final round begins next week. You can also find the results of earlier surveys in the Great 88 section.
