We’ll celebrate the fourth anniversary of “Rick’s Redneck Ranch” Saturday night on “The Grooveyard” with an hour of Rockabilly music from the Grooveyard era. Host Alan Seltzer will also go “Under the Covers”, playing original versions and interesting cover versions of some of the songs. The show has been heard immediately before “The Grooveyard each Saturday since December 10, 2016.
In addition, the Grooveyard Top 10 will feature the hits of December 12, 1957, and we’ll play holiday hits and other favorites during the Grooveyard Party hour.
Voting closes Saturday in the final round of our ninth annual Grooveyard Great 88 survey. Pick your 15 favorites in each of the three polls, covering songs that were hits in 1957 and earlier, 1958-1960 and 1961-1963. Our annual celebration of the “12 Days of Greats”, featuring the dozen songs that just missed this year’s survey, begins on Monday. Results will be announced during a special five-hour edition of “The Grooveyard” on December 26th starting at 7 PM.
