As always, I want to thank each and every one of you who has taken the time to read my posts. Writing this blog truly is a labor of love.
I also want to thank Alan Seltzer, host of WCWP’s The Grooveyard, for allowing me to be an on-going contributor to the blog for the best Oldies show ever. Also remember to vote now for your favorite songs of the 50’s and 60’s in the 10th Great 88 Song Survey.
This year has been the most difficult year of my life, and that’s saying something. Moving across country to somewhere I don’t like, facing personal health issues during a raging pandemic, and struggling to get back on my feet has made it an even bigger challenge to keep this blog alive.
In addition to my personal hardships this year, we have all suffered the loss of Jimmie Rodgers, Lloyd Price and our beloved Don Everly. These losses have made 2021 an even more difficult time for fans around the world.
I don’t have big plans for this blog because I don’t know what tomorrow will bring. My motivation is declining, and my concentration is suffering, but my love for what I call “The Best Era Ever” will never die. I hope to have many posts in the future that celebrate a time I never knew, a time I can only imagine in my dreams- America in the 1950s.
Thank you again for reading, and please feel free to look around and search for any information you might be looking for from the wonderful days of yesteryear.
Sincerely,
Retro Dee
