There’s a full day of excitement on Saturday from The Grooveyard.
First, we share the formal induction of Grooveyard host Alan Seltzer and four other station alumni into the WCWP Hall of Fame with a Zoom broadcast of the ceremony beginning at 1 PM ET. Click this link and use passcode 303459. The ceremony, postponed due to the Covid pandemic, will also honor the following inductees from 2020 and 2021:
- Christina Kay, a former station manager who now hosts afternoon drive on WALK-FM.
- Joe Manfredi, another former station manager who is Station Manager at Old Westbury Webradio.
- Jay Mirable, host of “The DFK Show”
- Mike Chimeri, host of “Instrumental Invasion”
“The Grooveyard” continues the celebration beginning at 7 PM, looking at the music and artists from the Grooveyard era inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The Grooveyard Top Ten will feature the hits of June 11, 1962, and we’ll play more of your favorites during the Grooveyard Party Hour.
