1957 – The Results

Rockabilly dominated this year’s poll for your favorite songs from 1957. Jerry Lee Lewis had two songs in the fop five–including one repeat from 2015–and Buddy Knox also repeated from last year.  Among traditional artists, Buddy Holly and Elvis Presley had three songs each in the top 20 songs, and the Everly Brothers had a pair of hits there.  They will join other favorites in the final round beginning later this month.

Here are the top five songs in alphabetical order by artist:

“Searchin'” by The Coasters

“That’ll Be The Day” by Buddy Holly and the Crickets

“Party Doll” by Buddy Knox

“Great Balls of Fire” by Jerry Lee Lewis

“Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On” by Jerry Lee Lewis
